Charter Schools

Though Alaska law does not require homeschooling families to do so, many families opt to enroll in a charter program through one of Alaska's public school districts.

This is a partial list of charter programs available.  Many offer funding for secular curriculum, extra curricular activities, computers and internet access.  Enrolled students are typically required to submit regular work samples and participate in standardized testing, among other requirements.

We recommend that you read the handbook in full before you enroll in any program, so that you fully understand the  potential benefits and implications for your family.
